Full steam ahead into the snow wall

Not to be missed: Up to ten employees of the Rhaetian Railway tackle several meter high snow walls at the Bernina with the help of the world's only steam snow blower still in operation. A thrilling adventure for railway buffs: Every weekend, from January 2 to March 21, 2010, a special train with a 100-year-old steam locomotive huffs and puffs from Alps Grün or from Cavaglia to Hospiz, accompanied by a guide. Passengers can look forward to a hearty repast of Engadine specialties on Alp Grün.
