Highlighted by the five tourist offices in La Broye, "Bike Broye" offers 18 bicycle routes which are between 10 and 59 km long and can be completed at your own pace. They are clearly mapped out and take you through sites of natural and historical interest. The routes take you past forests and lakes and are ideal for children and adults, beginners and experienced cyclists, remaining far from noisy traffic.

For example, explore the "Sur les traces des Romains" ("On the trail of the Romans") route, which begins at the Avenches Tourist Office in Place de l'Eglise. Aventicum was the capital of Roman Helvetia 2,000 years ago, a huge Roman city built on the main road linking Rome to Augusta Raurica. This bicycle ride is 10 km long and lasts half a day, following the ruins dating back to this grand era and encapsulating the whole region in one long look (and several pedal strokes!).
