The permanent exhibition in the main building in the Barfüsserkirche focuses on the historical identity of Basel as an interface for the cultures of Switzerland, Germany and France. Based on selected topics with hundreds of pieces of historical evidence as well as art works covering about 1,000 years, the exhibition records the history of the city of Basel.
