Art museum Winterthur

The Winterthur Art Museum possesses one of the most beautiful modern art collections in Switzerland. The old building houses an overwhelming number of masterpieces of French Impressionist art as well as works from other classic modern art movements. In the architecturally completely contrasting new building by Basel architects Gigon and Guyer, both established and as yet unknown contemporary artists present their work in temporary exhibitions.
