The museum, which was opened in 1972, displays mineral, bird and mammal collections on 1200 square meters of exhibition space. Dioramas, games and temporary exhibitions round off the display. Excursions or workshops on various topics are offered on a regular basis. The tour of the museum takes about 90 minutes. Descriptions of the exhibits and guided tours are in French.
