The Swiss Fashion Museum was opened in 1982. It organises its permanent and temporary exhibitions at the castle in Yverdon-les-Bains. The showcase of its collection is the archives of fashion designer Robert Piguet (Yverdon-les-Bains 1898-Lausanne 1953), who founded a haute-couture firm in Paris (1933-1951). At his peak, he employed a staff of over 400 people in the French capital.
