The Breithorn (4164 m.a.s.l.) is ideal for beginners to try their hand at climbing a mountain of more than 4000 meters. Its snow-capped peak is rather flat and is thus easier to handle than most other mountains. A guide helps one get to the top in about two hours. The tour starts at the mountain station of the Klein Matterhorn (3883 m.a.s.l.).
And the view is absolutely breath-taking: from here one can see the world in a different perspective. Everyting seems to be the size of a toy, including the massive mountains Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, Dent Blanche, Obergabelhorn, Zinal Rothorn, Weisshorn, Mischabel, and Breithorn.

Drive or take public transportation from Brig to Täsch/Zermatt. If driving, park the car in Täsch and from there take the train. From Zermatt take the cable-car to the Klein Matterhorn Glacier Paradise.
