On the journey past the peninsula of Chastè one can catch a glimpse of the larch trees where Nietzsche spun his grandiose thoughts during many summers. In Maloja follow the trails of Giovanni Segantini, the landscape painter who was inspired by the light of this area. The boat cruise shortens the classic 4-lakes hike which includes Lakes St. Moritz, Champfer, Silvaplana, and Sils. It saves one hour of walking.
