Enjoy the fine cuisine typical of the region and relax in these lovely surroundings. On a visit to Giornico you will not want to miss a tour of the Romanesque church: San Nicolao is an important example of Romanesque architecture; the parish church, San Michele, is of Romanesque origin as well, but it was reconstructed in the 18th Century. The church of Santa Maria del Castello also dates from the Romanesque period and features Gothic frescoes. A visit to the Valley Museum Casa Stanga is also worth your while.
