The Petite Arvine, or Arvine for short, is the most frequently grown wine of the Valais. The vintners regarded it so highly that they dedicated an entire village to it.

Fully is “the capital of Arvine” and as such it is the venue of the bi-annual festival "Arvine en Capitales". The origin of Petite Arvine is unclear. The name, which is derived from Latin, indicates that the vine may have come to Valais from the Savoyard Arve Valley.
