Atzmännig, Goldingen

The people at Atzmännig AG at the top of the Goldinger Valley have created a real paradise for children, a playground to make children's eyes shine. A little higher up, you can have fun on a summer sledging run down through the green meadows. You are surrounded on all sides by the wonderful scenery of the foothills to the Alps.

The Atzmännig region is also a paradise for hikers. The whole area is covered with a dense network of fantastic mountain paths. One of the best is the one going from the Atzmännig via the Rotstein and the Tweralpspitz over to Chrüzegg. The views stretch from the Säntis and the Toggenburg right into the Glarner and Central Swiss mountains. There are two cosy mountain cafés, one on the Atzmännig and the other on the Chrüzegg, for delicious mountain treats.

Schutt - Atzmännig - Obere Tweralp - Chrüzegg - Schutt

On the Atzmännig circuit you get straight down to business. A steep path leads from Schutt up to the top station of the Atzmännig chair-lift. The mountain path which then leads over to Chrüzegg leaves nothing to be desired in terms of views - they are simply stunning. A path which is quite steep in places then leads from the Chrüzegg back down to Schutt.
