Muotathal – Höchi

Muotathal

Traversing two passes from Muotathal retracing famous footsteps. These passes were traversed by Suworow, the Russian general, in 1799. A third crossing is effortless and takes place on a slightly ascending trail across mountains, past wayside crosses and chapels. It runs through a wild and romantic valley to Riemenstalden, the tiniest community in the Canton of Schwyz. There are only 70 inhabitants, a church, a community center and the 'Kaiserstock', an inn where you can celebrate your hike with an excellent meal.
