Description

Comologno - Ligünc - Val Lavadina - Alpe Salei - Laghetto dei Salei - Passo del Busan - Bocca dei Capi - Pilone - Passo dei Busan - Alpe Pesced - Pian Seco - Spruga

Palazzo Gamboni has awakened to new life as a hotel and is an excellent starting point for a rewarding hike across the Alps to the Laghetto dei Salei, a mountain lake, and Mt. Pilone, a mountain on the border offering a fascinating panorama. The tour ends in Spruga, at one time famous for straw weaving.

From Comologno at the extreme end of the Onsernone Valley, a pleasant hike takes you to Laghetto dei Salei, up to the peak of Mt. Pilone right on the border and across hills and steep wooded mountains up to Spruga, a border village.
