Description
From the car-free town (North of Hotel Real), ascend to the castle on a steep lane and walking paths (the Castle is not open for visitors). Enjoy the natural beauty of the birch tree woods. The hike is particularly beautiful in spring when the leaves start to sprout, or in October with colorful fall foliage. The old houses and stables in the hamlet of Triesenberg bear witness to the farming culture of the Walsers. Insider tip: From Litze an excursion to the hamlet of Wangerberg with its old hayfilled barns is really worthwhile. On another wide loop through the village of Triesenberg you can descend via Rotenboden and Frommenhaus to the Castle of Vaduz
