Valtellina wine-growing

The (Swiss) family company Fratelli Triacca, founded in 1897, is one of the most innovative wine-growing companies in the Valtellina (Veltlin). It owns vineyards and cellars in and around Tirano (I), a bottling plant in Campascio in the Val Poschiavo and the former convent La Gatta, where some of the wines go to mature. Visits can be arranged for groups on request, and tasting sessions with outstanding "pizzoccheri".
