Description
The hike begins in picturesque Weistannen in the eponymous valley. The compact core of the village has houses that were built as early as the 15th century. The hike through the forgotten valley leads along the Seez River. At the Alp of Walenbütz Untersäss the hike leads up a stony path to the Foo Pass (2,223 m). Here you have a direct view of the core of Sardona tectonic arena. The tectonic displacement or upheaval is especially obvious from Piz Sardona to the Tschingelhörner Alps. One gets to Elm first via a cattle trail and then through Ramin Forest. The village with its impressive wooden edifices won the Wakker Prize.
