Description
This hike follows a no-miss trail from beginning to end. The climb is pleasantly steep with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the superb views. The hamlet of Schwand is the half-way mark and the picturesque wayside chapel you pass en route is likely to prove an irresistible photo opportunity. The last part of the trail takes you through snow-clad forests back to Engelberg and its famous monastery.
