Description
The thickly wooded Helfenberg is the first to be conquered. Then after a short descent the path climbs up again to the rocky summit of the Chellenchöpfli, the highest peak in the canton of Basle. The views are magnificent. Finally, the path goes gently up and down over the broad back of the Passwang in the border area between the cantons of Basle and Solothurn.
Langenbruck - Helfenberg - Chellenchöpfli - Hintere Wasserfallen - Passwang - Passwang Alpenblick
Always following the yellow and red signs of the Jura Mountain Trail towards Passwang, the path leads steeply up from Langenbruck to the thickly wooded Helfenberg. Passing the Hof Sol it carries on uphill to the Chellenchöpfli. The Passwang is reached via the Hintere Wasserfallen. In the end, the final descent leads down to the bus-stop by the Alpenblick restaurant.
