Open Skies on Mont Pélerin

Vevey

"Celestial World" is the slogan of Mont Pélerin and indeed, the slogan holds some truth. It is considered one of the best vantage points onto Lake Geneva. The elevator that brings guests up is called "Plein Ciel" (Full Skies) making getting up as easy as pie. Once on top, charming inns that offer lunch and snacks and intact nature make this a perfect experience.

Description

Begin the loop around Mont Pélerin at the mountain station of the cable-car Vevey - Mont Pélerin. But before starting, it is worth admiring the views from this promontory: the steep vineyards of the Lavaux fall off into glittering Lake Geneva, which sparkles all the more against the impressive backdrop of the Savoy Alps. Start hiking towards Mont-Cheseaux, crossing forests and meadows. Here is the switching point: continue along the other side of the mountain. The last part of the hike follows the road to Pra Valey, which eventually winds back up at the mountain station. Whoever still has the energy may want to visit the actual mountain peak that is nearby.
