The views are particularly impressive from the San Bernardo church, where the city and lake of Lugano are at your feet, with the unmistakeable San Salvatore behind them, while to the north-east you can see far away into the Val Colla. Finally, the last few kilometres of the walk pass through a densely populated area, where the route is lined by wonderful gardens and beautiful houses in typical Ticino style.
