Description

The views are particularly impressive from the San Bernardo church, where the city and lake of Lugano are at your feet, with the unmistakeable San Salvatore behind them, while to the north-east you can see far away into the Val Colla. Finally, the last few kilometres of the walk pass through a densely populated area, where the route is lined by wonderful gardens and beautiful houses in typical Ticino style.

Tesserete - Vaglio - Ponte Capriasca - Origlio - Lago di Origlio - San Bernardo - Comano - Lugano

The walk begins in Tesserete Stazione and heads first towards Origlio, then down to Ponte Capriasca. After passing through the picturesque village centre of Origlio, you continue to the lake of the same name. Then you climb up to the woodland church of San Bernardo. The path takes you down to Comano, then past splendid gardens and stately villas on down towards Lugano. The last part of the walk is mostly along the road to the station in Lugano.
