Description
The Adelboden Hörnli is not something that you eat, but rather, it is a vantage point - and what an amazing one it is! The panorama stretches from the jagged peaks of the Niesen mountain chain to the glaciated summit of the Wildstrubel. This cleared winter hiking trail will take you up from the village centre and along a sunny slope. The starting point is located after a short walk northwards along the main street. The Hörnli Trail branches off the Schmittegrabe before leading gently upwards. Gain rapidly in height and view as you cross snowy pastures and pass stately old wooden homes. The trail curves sharply to the left after reaching the Hörnli vantage point and then leads down into the valley. Rest a while on one of the benches in the sunshine and savour the wonderful scenery. Now continue along the level trail until you arrive at another viewpoint: The Taubenfels offers a fascinating view down to Adelboden. Make your pleasant final descent back to the Adelboden village centre along forest trails and forestry roads.
