Description

Hikers get to enjoy superb panoramic views of the Walliser Alps from beginning to end. The Mischabel group, Matterhorn, Weissmies and all the other peaks in the range make this walk a truly unforgettable experience. With such a majestic backdrop, it is easy to forget that the Aletsch region is itself a natural wonder. It is even a UNESCO World Heritage site. The three independent winter sports resorts, Riederalp, Bettmeralp and Fiescheralp are linked together by several pistes and so have merged together to form one giant winter sports arena. Cosy little huts along the pistes and hiking trails and countless hotels in every category make this region a paradise for winter sports lovers.
