Hiking and tobogganing on the Oberalp Pass

Andermatt

In the summer months, the Oberalp Pass provides an important link between Central Switzerland and the Graubünden Oberland. In winter, on the other hand, the Oberalp Pass is closed to road traffic and the road itself used as a ski slope, toboggan run and hiking trail. The views it commands both down into the valley and up to the Gotthard mountains are likely to prove unforgettable. This winter hike takes you from Andermatt railway station up to Nätschen, both of whose restaurants have beautifully sunny terraces.
