Lake Sils – the winter hiking paradise

Sils-Maria

Criss-crossing the Upper Engadine is a vast network of perfectly prepared winter hiking trails and tracks for cross-country skiing. The choice of attractive – and for the most part flat – tours is virtually unlimited. And all of them share the same incomparably beautiful mountain arena. What more could you want? One of the most popular winter hikes in the Upper Engadine is that from Sils-Maria to the Chastè peninsula and from there to Maloja and back to Sils-Maria. In fine weather, you will even find a snow-bar right in the middle of the lake where you can enjoy a mug of punch or mulled wine and lots of other delicious treats. It really is delightful.
