Panoramic climb up to the Munggä-Hüttli

Elm

There, on the very same slopes where once the meteoric career of Swiss skiing champ Vreni Schneider began, the skiing champs of tomorrow are already busy perfecting their technique. But the Empächli has plenty more to offer than just great skiing. This winter hike from the mountain station up to Hengstboden and from there up to the Munggä-Hüttli is richly endowed with fantastic panoramic views, with the snow-capped peaks of the Glarner Alps making for a magnificent backdrop. The goal and turning point of this tour is the Munggä-Hüttli, a cosy mountain restaurant popular among both skiers and hikers alike.
