Description

The famous village of Saas-Fee is tucked away in the very steep and narrow Saas valley. Towering high above it are some of Switzerland’s mightiest peaks – an unparalleled natural arena of glaciers and eternal snow. While skiers and snowboarders are enjoying the Fee glacier itself, non-skiers here in Saas-Fee can have a whole mountain to themselves. The Hannig not only boasts an extensive network of winter hiking trails, but an exciting toboggan run as well. The ascent from Saas-Fee to the mountain station is very steep in places, although the superb panoramic views to be had from the top make it well worth the effort.
