Description
Clearly visible for miles around, the Goms enjoys a most advantageous geographical location, especially in the winter months, when the sun is low in the sky and countless valleys do not see so much as a single ray of sunshine for weeks at a time. The villages dotting the countryside here are full of typical Valais-style houses. And no matter how small the hamlet, there is always a beautiful church to admire. The vast network of trails for hiking and cross-country skiing in this area are a regular hive of activity. Hundreds – sometimes even thousands – of snow lovers come here to enjoy the snow and drink in the crisp, mountain air.
