Description
The scenic villages of the Hasliberg municipality are string together like pearls on a string. The panorama trail, a beautiful high-altitude route, links these together and joins up with the Brünigpass. The section on a sunny slope high above Meiringen is blessed with abundant views and while walking you will enjoy the stunning views into the Rosenlaui area on the opposite side of the valley and, in delightful contrast, the view down to the turquoise pearl of Lake Brienz. The western part of the panorama trail is especially rewarding. It only has gentle ascents and is completely outside the ski area. Start your hike at the Hasliberg/Wasserwendi post bus stop. Initially the path is level and then the trail descends moderately to Hasliberg/Hohfluh. From there it crosses a gently undulating snow-covered plain to the Bodemli. The final stretch undulates gently through quiet pine forest. The panorama trail ends at the Brünig-Hasliberg railway and post bus station.
