A trail that winds through flowering meadows and through sparse forests winds up at the Bösbächi ("bad stream" in the local dialect). Then hike through an imposing morane before you sight the lake. The lake is surrounded by beautiful pastures. Then descend along a steep route touching the Leuggel Stream, the Schwächeten Stream, and the Steini Stream and wind up in Leuggelen. Cross through Aenneteggen and the historic village center of Thon and then wind up in Schwanden, at the bottom of the Linthal Valley.
The careful planning of a tour will ensure that you also derive the maximum pleasure and enjoyment from it. Please take the time to contact the local information centre and enquire about route and weather conditions before setting off. Your intended trail may be fully or partially closed, depending on the time of year and weather conditions.
