This Aletsch Glacier hike begins at the middle station of the Eggishorn cable-car, on the Kühboden. A wide trail with great views leads towards Bettmeralp. At all times, one can see the Mischabel range, with each mountain at least 4'000 meters high. At the Furri Hut, go right up the rather steep but short trail to the Aletsch Forest, passing by the Rote Kumma. And now for the highlight of the hike: follow the trail towards Altstafel Mauer to wind up in Riederfurka. From here, there is a wide trail leading down to Riederalp.
