Walenstadtberg: A gentle tour on the wild side of the Churfirsten


The south-facing slopes of the Churfirsten rise almost vertically. You will see the forested flanks as dark reflections in Lake Walen. A high open terrace spreads out in front of you - Walenstadtberg.

The Knoblisbüel Sanatorium is the starting point of the hiking tour.After a short while you will reach the impressive Paxmal, built between1924 and 1949 by Karl Bickel. Your tour then takes you across sunnyAlpine hills, offering fantastic vistas of the Seez Valley, Lake Walenand the Flumser Mountains, to Lüsis and further on to Walenstadt.
