Description

The Planet Trail is an enchanting ridge walk that takes you in one and a half hours in an illustrative way through our solar system – and against the backdrop of a beautiful panorama on top of that. Zurich's local mountain is reached by train from the main train station in Zurich; sightseers and sun worshippers have been travelling comfortably on this "Üezgi" since 1875 (with a few interruptions).

The guesthouse and spa rooms had already been opened 25 years prior to that, and today this is a stylish hotel in the most beautiful panoramic setting. For those who don't suffer from vertigo, an even more impressive view over the city of Zurich, the lake and the Alps can be enjoyed from the platform of the 72 metre high lookout tower at the hotel "Uto Kulm".

Just as promising however is the short hike up to Felsenegg – right next to the first and only Swiss nature theme park, the Zürich-Sihlwald wilderness park. Here you'll find not only pleasure hikers and families but also rangers who are only too happy to provide you with information about their work and about nature.
