The ascent from the Rhine River near Balzers to the Falknis is steep. From the Three-Country-Corner with Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland, John Harling follows the northern rim of the Prättigau at a panoramic level of altitude, via magnificent limestone mountains ideal for hiking around St. Antönien up to the Biz Buin in the Silvretta Region. Here John will be for the first time in a glacier region again. From the skiing areas of Samnaun/Ischgl (Customs-free zone) there is a descent to Martina on the Inn River in the Lower Engadine.
