Albert Schweitzer path

During his vacations on the Grimmialp Albert Schweitzer took a great many walks. He treasured the peace and tranquillity of the mountainous landscape.

Large sun-drenched terrace next to the ski run, magnificent 360-degree panoramic view from the Wildstrubel onto the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau as well as the Vaud Alps.

Stockhorn – and striking Horn

Stockhorn, which has a height of 2,190 meters, is the highest peak of the Stockhorn Range. The mountain consists of a nearly vertical slab of rock, so that it appears either wide or pointed, depending on your perspective.

It’s not hard to pinpoint the distinctive head of rock at the entrance to the Bernese Oberland – but the fact that you can stand pretty much on top to enjoy views direction Thun, Aare Valley and Bern as far as Jura is known to few.
