Swiss Alpine Museum

Family museums – Experience the ambience of the Swiss mountains at Switzerland's sole Alpine museum. Learn more about their diversity, their historical and current backgrounds and their prospects for the future. It is only a stone's throw from the Matterhorn to the Bernina (the largest collection of mountain reliefs).

In Bern, the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau are near enough to be grasped. Only the Swiss Alpine Museum (ALPS) is closer to the mountains. The ALPS has been open since March of 2012 after a comprehensive renovation.
