Interlaken is becoming the number one place for fun and adventure sports. For paragliding fans, Interlaken has long been known for its excellent flying opportunities and nearly year-round good conditions.

Schmadri Hut

Located at 2,262 meters, high up in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, at the foot of the north-west ridge of the Grosshorn, in the midst of the UNESCO World Heritage Region "Swiss Alps Jungfrau–Aletsch". The ascent to the hut takes 3 hours 30 minutes from Stechelberg via Schwand, or 5 hours via Oberhorn Lake. The small, cozy wooden hut has 12 beds. It has not warden throughout the year. Cooking your own meal on a wood stove rounds out the Alpine adventure.

Not accessible via the groomed run, only off-piste; far from the hustle and bustle, magnificent views of Wetterhorn, Eiger, Schilthorn, etc.; Wonderful service - Adi Bohren, the hut warden, will take good care of you. How to get there: Arriving by toboggan: From First Mountain Station, hike 30 minutes up to Bachsee, then descend to Waldspitz.

The village museum “alte Pinte” also displays interesting objects from the Bönigers’ past.
