In 1987, the Zürich Santa Claus first invited old and young alike to visit him in his little wooden hut on the Chäferberg. The romantic log cabin lies in the middle of the forest, yet is still easily reached from Bucheggplatz and the Zur Waid restaurant. The forest hut is open from Tuesday, December 3 to Sunday, December 8, 2013, between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm. Santa Claus and his helper, Schmutzli, would be delighted to welcome their friends to their hut located between Bucheggplatz and the Neue Waid restaurant. From Bucheggplatz (tram 11 or 15/bus 32 or 72) and from the Neue Waid restaurant, there are signs showing the way to the forest hut.
