The Simmefluh on the left-hand side and the Burgfluh on the right characterize the entrance to the Semmen Valley impressively. It is understood that both these rock massifs offer views of the highest order.
The mountain bike tour to Oberen Heiti does not entirely conquer both these mountains, but even their foothills have much to offer as regards vantage points and views. Below you will espy the deep blue Lake Thun. Mt. Niesen is so close you can almost touch it. And in the distance the unmistakable silhouette of Eiger, Mönch und Jungfrau is visible.
The Silleren ridge is actually a hiker's domain, but what is pleasing to the hiker is also pleasant to the biker. The panoramic view from Sillerenbühl is overwhelmingly beautiful. The glaciated peak of the Wildstrubel takes center stage. But not so fast: the panorama wants to be appreciated, too. At a difference in altitude of 526 meters, the physical challenge is not too great and may not even exceed the physical limits of less conditioned bikers.
Gspon, a mountain village, is located at an almost inhospitable location high above the Vispa River Valley. To this day, no road leads up to Gspon, which makes it a particularly idyllic village. When you glance down into the deep canyon, you can see the roaring confluence of the rivers Saas and Mattervispa. The steep Saas Valley extends towards the south.
