Kubus

Architecture – The layout comprises a 1200 m2 exhibition hall with an accessible roof terrace, a storage floor and office space for the "Bernisches Historisches Museum", as well as offices and a library with reading room for the city archives. The exhibition hall is sunk into the ground and the space on the roof is accessible from the park and from the entrance hall. Towards the back, the office building is enclosed in a castellated way. Steps lead up to the roof of the exhibition hall.

This extension to the "Bernisches Historisches Museum" (Historical Museum) is sure to amaze with its exhibition hall sunk into the ground and its significant extension programme.
