Magnificent vistas at the Eggishorn: 'tunnel vision' allows you to view the mega panorama of the Aletsch glacier's sea of ice.

The Aletsch glacier is the largest in the Alps and has recently been marked out by UNESCO as a world nature site. What a fantastic location for a tour! The journey itself is your goal - all the way up to the frozen water. You'll need to tackle thirteen curves on the path through the larch forests up to the Fiescheralp.

Idea 4: Grandiose glaciers and rock stars

You don't have to be an intrepid glacier trekker to get close to the longest river of ice in the Alps. Nature is on a grand scale in Valais and the mighty Aletsch Glacier is the icing on the cake.

The charming Burghütte is located at 1,750 meters in the midsts of a hiking and climbing paradise, directly at the foot of the Fiescher Glacier.
