Radisson SAS

The Radisson SAS Hotel Lucerne sets new standards for contemporary hotel design in the first-class sector in the City of Lights. The house was designed by the renowned Rüssli Architekten AG, which is also responsible for the architecture of the interior design of the hotel. Inside the hotel, centre stage is taken by light, the element of water, warm earth tones and strong illuminations as well as translucent and flowing materials. This modern and contemporary concept, consistently and creatively realised by the architects, runs through all the areas of the hotel.

ECAL

ECAL, Lausanne's University of Art and Design, is one of the world's most prestigious art educational institutions. Its success is due not least to its director Pierre Keller. In 2007 it moved to the former IRIL hosiery and pantyhose factory in Renens. The renovation work under the guidance of renowned architect Jean Tschumi has paid particular attention to the preservation of the original building’s character. The interior consists of large rooms, while the main façade is decorated by a huge fishnet made of metal.

Miroiterie

A symbol of the avant-garde, the La Miroiterie commercial building is located in the centre of the Flon platform directly in front of the main square. It is clad in cushion-like, translucent membrane that is illuminated at night. This makes the building appear lighter than air while allowing the daylight to shine through. The wall-less floors are supported by a visible, oblique steel structure.
