Landgasthof Ruedihus

Built in 1753 in the original chalet style with an ornate facade, bull's eye panes and rustic interiors, it is one of the most beautiful hotels in the Bernese Oberland and enjoys the protection of the Swiss Confederation.

This country inn is situated one kilometre from the centre of Kandersteg, opposite its sister hotel the Doldenhorn, whose indoor pool and wellness centre can be used by Ruedihus guests free of charge. Eight charming rooms, two junior suites and two restaurants: The Chäs u Wystube (cheese and wine bar) with raclette, fondue and rösti, and the elegant Biedermeierstube with Swiss specialities such as Sure Mocke (wine-braised beef), Zürigschnätzläts (sautéed strips of veal, served in a cream sauce with rösti) and Blauseeforellen (Blue Lake rainbow trout).
