Trans Swiss Trail Emmental

The "Trans Swiss Trail" is the first long distance hiking trail fully developed for tourism which traverses Switzerland from North to South.

The "Trans Swiss Trail" is the first long distance hiking trail fully developed for tourism which traverses Switzerland from North to South. The section through the Emmental valley does not lead across high mountains, but through a landscape with gently rolling hills, magnificent farms and flower-bedecked meadows. Overnight stays and breakfast, luggage transport and hiking maps are included in the package.

Nearly Touching the Matterhorn

Apart from actually climbing the Matterhorn, there is hardly a more difficult hike in this area than the one leading from the Schwarzsee to Zermatt, passing by Trift and the Trift Gorge.

Apart from actually climbing the Matterhorn, there is hardly a more difficult hike in this area than the one leading from the Schwarzsee to Zermatt, passing by Trift and the Trift Gorge. But the effort is well worth it:singular vistas are the hiker's steady companion and an especially impressive part of the hike is that the Matterhorn seems close enough to touch.

Vaduz - Triesenberg: A Royal Hiking Tour

Through the Prince's forest and via the Grüscha path up to the ancient Walser settlement of Triesenberg.

The Prince's castle high above Vaduz is not open for visitors, but you can walk right by it and through the forests of his estate and via the Grüscha path up to the ancient Walser settlement of Triesenberg. Every so often the light forest of beech trees opens up and provides a perfect frame for splendid views into the Rhine valley and onto the Alpstein massif on the Swiss side: a princely pleasure for every hiker.
