A mountain hike with beautiful, sweeping views from the peak of the Stockhorn to Chrindi Cental Station, across pastures and forests and around two mountain lakes with an abundance of fish. On this hiking tour you will discover authentic Alpine farms, fragrant meadows and forests as well as constantly changing scenery, alternating between panoramic vistas and views into the depth.
Next to the panorama restaurant at the summit, there is a 70-m-long tunnel leading through solid rock into a "grotto" in the north wall. From the two look-out windows There – the so-called "Stockhorn Augen" or Stockhorn Eyes – you can see down to Thun and Lake Thun and into the Mittelland beyond.
The imposing Gantrisch mountain chain stretches eastwards from the Gurnigel region, ending with the mighty rocky dome of the Stockhorn. Right along this chain runs a mountain path offering magnificent views across the Bernese Alps and Lake Thun and down into the Simmental valley.
