Val da Camp

Activities – Graubünden has 937 mountains, 150 valleys and 615 lakes. There are numerous clear mountain lakes in the Val da Camp, and because the mountain valley is only accessible by foot, its popularity is not yet widespread. After walking for some time, you cross over the Pass da Val Viola, and finally reach Bormio, the main town of the Upper Veltlin. But there are also many opportunities for smaller walks.

Sights – At first glance the high alpine region around the Bernina Pass looks barren, yet it boasts a wealth of alpine flora. You can see this for yourself on the path along the Lago Bianco to the Sassal Mason (2355 m), with its splendid panorama of the Palü glacier and as far as the Val Poschiavo. All along the way there are tempting restaurants to spend a while in, at the Ospizio Bernina, in Sassal Mason, at the Belvedere and on the Alp Grüm.

Alp Grüm

Restaurants – After an exciting train ride on the Bernina Line, or a hike or mountain bike ride, you'll love the view from the sunshine terrace of the Ristorante Alp Grüm at 2091 m. The views extend over the Val Poschiavo as far as the Bergamasker Alps, while in the west towers the enormous "Vadret da Palü" glacier. Italian pasta, specialities of the Poschiavo, Engadin delicacies and Veltliner wines.
