A modern cable car takes you from the sunny little resort of St. Luc to the Tignousa Alp at 2,186 meters. Here you will already have a breathtaking view of the 4000-meter Valaisian peaks. At the farthest corner of the Val d'Anniviers you can even get a glimpse of the Matterhorn.
St. Luc seems to hang on by a hair to the steep flanks of Mt. Bella Tola. Deep gorges separate the individual terraces of the Val d'Anniviers. Because the villages here are so remote -- they can only be reached via a winding mountain road -- they have managed to maintain their special culture.
St-Luc and Chandolin are situated on the sunny eastern slope of the Val d'Anniviers (Eifischtal) and enjoy a majestic panorama. Spectacular scenery, attractive walking country and the ultra-modern astronomical observatory will keep boredom at bay.
