Three unusual trains take visitors to the Emossen Reservoir Lake. Even getting to Emossen by taking the train from Martigny towards Chamonix, traveling through the almost impassable ravine, is an adventure.

A nostalgic rack railroad driven by steam engines leads up the Brienz Rothorn, which was even in the 19th century one of the most popular vantage points for views in the Bernese Oberland. The train takes about one hour to climb the 1,678 meters difference in height.
