The village of Täsch is 1,449 metres above sea level and is home to around 998 people. It is situated 6 km from the world-famous tourist region of Zermatt and its majestic landmark - the Matterhorn. Täsch is effectively the gateway to this huge and amazing mountain range.
Everyone has heard about the red Swiss penknife, the practical all-rounder to take wherever you go. Every day 25’000 knives are sent from Schwyz, the home of the world-famous multi-tool, to destinations around the globe. It's hardly surprising then that the tourism destination around the capital of the canton of Schwyz meanwhile goes under the name of «Swiss Knife Valley».
Les Diablerets, an important centre for adventure sports, lies between Lake Geneva and Gstaad at an altitude of 1200 metres. Even in summer, the Glacier 3000 ski region in the heart of the Vaud Alps offers skiing and glacier enjoyment over an expansive area.
