It doesn't have to be the high North: a little bit of elevation is enough. Enormous fish tumble about in the waters of the frozen lakes of Melchsee-Frutt, at 2000 meters above sea level. Gusti Berchtold knows exactly where to find these fish. The experienced ice fisherman takes you to the best places to fish, helps you drill a hole in the ice and is always very helpful and ready with advice. Even if you don't catch anything, you have at least a spectacular view of the fairy-tale scenery.
Enjoy a ramble along the imposing cliff path on Mount Bürgenstock, with Lake Lucerne lying at your feet. The path brings you within 25 minutes to the Hammetschwand Lift, which will whisk you in just over one minute up to the highest point of the "city of Lucerne" on the Hammetschwand, 1132 m above sea level.
