Mont Fort – almost in the high mountains
Mont Fort is 3,328 meters high and thus the highest mountain in the region of "Quatre Vallées", the four valleys (Verbier is one of them), that has been made accessible by train. One can simultaneously view famous mountain giants such as the Matterhorn and Montblanc from the Valaisian peak.
Mont Fort is the highest point in the Verbier-Nendaz holiday and skiing resort reached by gondola rail. Panoramic views from here extend from parts of the Valais Haute Route as far as Mont Blanc.
